Give Local MOV 2024

While The Arc of the MOV was graciously donated a 2007 Chevy Uplander many years ago, it time for an upgrade to one that is easier to get in and out of and has more storage. The Arc is seeking your support to be able to purchase a used 2021 Sprinter Van that seats 10 passengers and can be customized to allow for easier entry and exit and all around better for the people that we serve. In addition, the back opens up to allow for storage of folding walkers and wheelchairs.  Rentals are hard to come by during the summer time, taxi services and local bus services are short on drivers, and public transportation doesn’t serve all the locations and times that are needed.  The Arc is thankful that we have benefited from the help by Ely Chapman Education Foundation and South Parkersburg Baptist Church in the past when needed, but we would like to make our van more accessible for the individuals we serve.

• The Arc of the MOV needs a new van to continue serving individuals with developmental differences and providing transportation to our various programming such as:  Inclusive Summer Day Program, People First of WV Self Advocacy Program, Health and Wellness activities and Arts and Underserved activities.
• Every donation counts and will be doubled to a total of $2000 by partnering with Parkersburg Area Community Foundation’s Give Local MOV event.
